Awareness
Visibility changes what people believe is possible.
We work to replace stigma and confusion with accurate, humane understanding of Functional Neurological Disorder.
Make FND understood
FND is a genuine neurological condition that can affect movement, sensation, speech, cognition, or episodes of awareness. Symptoms can be disabling, variable, and deeply misunderstood.
Our awareness work will center lived experience, responsible education, and partnerships with healthcare and community leaders. We aim to help people recognize that FND symptoms are real and not consciously produced.
Our priorities
- Share clear, accessible explanations of FND
- Elevate lived experience with consent and care
- Challenge dismissive or stigmatizing language
- Support earlier recognition and informed referrals
- Build partnerships for public and professional awareness
Our principle: awareness should lead to respect, informed action, and better care—not fear or oversimplification.
